Black and white picture of KEY volunteers

Our trustees are volunteers who manage the organisation overseeing all volunteers and finance.

Jools Rebbeck
Chair of the Trustee Board and Team Leader

Jools joined KEY in 2017 first as a volunteer, later joining the Trustee Board and taking on the role of chair. She is a team leader and covers both evening and breakfast services when needed and also helps out on Outreach. Now that both her children are over 18 they also join her in volunteering.

During the day Jools runs a holiday letting business with her husband .

Micheal Fletcher
Secretary of the Trustee Board and Team Leader

Michael joined KEY in 2017 after leaving the bank he had worked for for 28 years. Since this point Michael has worked in a number of roles, including Citizens Advice and community support roles and now works managing community based projects across North Yorkshire

Michael has extensive experience over the years volunteering and managing projects overseas in Romania and Lesotho.  He joined KEY to be involved with something closer to home.

Michael is a keen cyclist and enthusiastic, if not very good, guitarist.

Sarah Robinson
Trustee and Team Leader

I joined KEY as a volunteer in 2022 as after seeing people sleeping rough in York I wanted to see what I can do to help. I became a trustee in 2024 and am really pleased to be able to use my skills and experience as a Risk and Governance Manager for a large Financial Services organisation to support the running of the charity.

Jamie Campbell
Trustee and Team Leader

Jamie started volunteering at KEY because he wanted to help people sleeping rough and joined as a trustee when he realised how deep a problem there is and how there are so many people out there that need help, not just the people on the streets. By day Jamie works in Housing.

We have over 100 volunteers who help run our services on a rota basis.
